No Time code from translator.


The most common problem in getting TC from a translation device is in choosing the correct protocol. Click on the Settings option of the main menu bar, then move your mouse cursor over the Protocol sub menu option. Be sure that the correct protocol for the device you are using has a check mark next to it. If not, click on the protocol you need to use.

If this is not the answer, make sure that you are indeed getting TC from your VTR or camcorder. An easy way to check this is to plug the cable from your TC output into an audio mixer, or another audio device (like a headphone amp, boom box, or TV with external audio inputs) and listen to make sure that TC is actually coming from the output cable. If you hear a steady, high pitched, vibrating sound, you have TC.
