Logging Basics



So you would like to learn more about using Log This®.
Well we have developed this brief tutorial for you to follow along and learn more about this program by clicking on the actual pieces and parts of the main screens that comprise our logging program. Once you are finished with the information on this page, click the >> button at the top of this window. Keep following these arrows until you have completed the tutorial.

Overview of Logging Screen:


This is the time code information panel found in the upper left corner of the main Log This® screen. For help on any item contained in this panel click on it.


This is the clip image panel found in the center of the main screen. This is where the thumbnail image associated with the current clip in the log will appear. For more information click on the items in this panel.


This is the tape information panel found in the upper right hand corner of the main Log This® screen. This panel contains all the information about the tape for the current clip in the log. When the video and audio tracks are selected the LEDs appear lit (bright green like Video, A1 and A2 above) when they are unselected the LEDs appear dim (dark green like A3 and A4 above.) The total time window displays the sum of all the durations in the log. You may also click on any item in this panel for more information.
